Protein AG' - u Sphere is an affinity resin with a genetically modified recombinant Protein AG' fusion protein joins IgG binding domains of both Protein A and Protein G. ProteinAG. The binding dependency to pH of Protein AG' lower than Protein A, but has the additive properties of Protein A and G together.
Protein AG' binds to all subclasses of humanIgG, making it helpful for purifying polyclonal or monoclonal lgG antibodies whose subclasses have not been identified. Protein AG binds to lgA, IgE, IgM and IgD. Protein AG binds to all subclasses of mouse lgG excluding mouse lgA, IgM or serum albumin. This permits Protein AG to be used in purification and detection of mouse monoclonal lgG antibodies, with no interference from lgA, IgM and serum albumin. Mouse monoclonal antibodies normally have a stronger affinity to the chimeric Protein G than to either Protein A or Protein G. Protein AG also has been used for purification of macaque lgG.
